Sit-Inside Kayaks
Solo Touring Kayaks - Perception Carolina 15.5 At 15 and 1/2 feet long with a fairly large cockpit this is a versatile kayak good for all skill levels. Paddle and vest included. I do not normally rent spray skirts.
Tandem Sit-Inside - Heritage Featherlight - this is a real decent tandem kayak just right for Mom and Dad or the kids either one. Very stable.
Various Other Sit-Inside
Heritage Featherlite - solo - 16 feet touring.
Pungo - oldie but goldie - 12.5 feet.
Walden Paddler - 12.5 feet recreational sit-inside.
Sit-on-top Kayaks.
Sit-on-top kayaks have scuttle holes for a wet ride - if water comes into the boat it exits through scuttle holes. Depending on the weight in the boat, the water can also come up through the scuttle holes from the bottom. Plan on wearing a swim suit. Below is a list of the sit-on-top kayaks I have.
Tandem - Ocean Kayak Zest 2 Tandem with strap-on seat back. At 16 feet long this tandem kayak is a small barge and with 2 skilled paddlers can easily bust through the breakers.
Solo - Ocean Kayak Scupper Classic - 16 feet long solo with strap-on seat back- seat area is slightly narrow - good for average size people with average size buttocks.
For the waves - Ocean Kayak Frenzy - this short little (8 feet?) early model Ocean Kayak is good for playing in the waves - comes with strap-in seat back and paddle but no straps for knees.
